Crohn's took a huge impact in my life. At the age of 15 I was diagnosed and went thought 4 brutal months of excruciating pain, countless procedures, and eventually life changing surgery. My family and friends got me through, but along with the support of my peers, I also felt the support from all of the nurses. When you were to google Crohn's disease, it would say how rare this disease was and how it wasn't treatable. With my experience with all of my hospitalizations, I never felt alone in the fact that what I had was rare. Every hospitalization there was one nurse who either had Crohn's or knew someone who had it. Not only did they know those stories but they also told of their success stories. By hearing these stories of how these amazing people were inspired to become a nurse and help others because of their battle with Crohn's disease it motivated me to make something out of my experience with battling Crohn's. Due to this, I decided to create my own blog to reach out to those who are going through a tough time and to those who are celebrating remission and good news with Crohn's. Please comment under the thread anything you wish to share whether it is good news or you are in need of some hope. Just remember you are never alone! -Kels
